Another thought for an odd problem would be the positive battery cable. If you watch the volt reading on the edu see what it normally drops to when trying to start the car when cold then watch when it is hot. If it appears to be lower have someone hold the positive terminal when trying to start when its hot and see if the terminal cable gets very hot. If so it may be corrosion or resistance in the cable.
