Dana:
Wow, I spent the better part of a day wrestling with it, and it never occurred to me to get the pump out first...I feel kinda dumb. But that is what makes this site great! Hopefully others can benefit from the struggles of one person.
David:
I admit I got lucky with the PS pump bolts. When spraying the PB Blaster, I bet only a little actually got the spot where it would be most useful, that is at the end of the long bolts, where it is pretty hard to spray even if you know where to aim the little red spray straw...
I did suffer at the hands of two broken bolts, the ones that hold the cover to the thermostat. Interestingly, they came out fine, but broke while I was re-installing the cover. Talk about heartbreak. Thought I was home free, ended up costing $450 at an unknown indy who had to remove the intake to get the broken bolts out.
