Thanks all, now another question Posted by sam96CS [Email] (#852) [Profile/Gallery] (more from sam96CS) on Wed, 21 May 2014 17:46:57 In Reply to: Illegible radio display, sam96CS [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 21 May 2014 12:45:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Thanks for the input. I think Ray and Simon are correct that the LCD panel is shot.
Another problem is the 13 pin DIN connection at the CD changer (Clarion model CDC605) in the trunk. The connector has a round plastic collar that slides on and off. I have no idea what it's function is or why it is a loose piece.
The unit isn't getting power unless I push in on the DIN connector. So there is either a hot or a ground connection that isn't secure. I'm thinking about just wrapping a long zip tie around the CD changer at the DIN connector to exert constant "pushing in" pressure. Not pretty, but I don't care if it works reliably.
Is there another way to make a tight connection?
