The Hella Cruise Control Modules used from 1992 - 1994 are known high-failure items; both of my 1994 cars have had this module die, and I have successfully fixed both by resoldering ALL of the capacitors on the circuit board (there are at least a dozen of them).
There is a guy on this board (John _?) who has posted instructions and can supply parts to adapt an older, more reliable CC module if you would rather go that route - do a search.
