This is concerning engine differences only, specifically stock horsepower and torque. The data is mostly from a '96 owner's manual.
Any CS 170hp @ 5700 rpm 0.345 bar (5 psi)
Any CS 191 ft. lb. @ 3200 rpm
Auto CSE 200hp @ 5500 rpm 0.81 bar (11.7 psi)
Auto CSE 217 ft. lb. @ 1800 rpm
Manual CSE 200hp @ 5500 rpm 1.00 bar (14.5 psi)
Manual CSE 238 ft. lb. @ 1800 rpm
Auto Aero 200hp @ 5500 rpm 0.81 bar (11.7 psi)
Auto Aero 217 ft. lb. @ 1800 rpm
Manual Aero 225hp @ 5500 rpm 1.08 bar (15.7 psi)
Manual Aero 252 ft. lb. @ 1800 rpm
The weakest is the CS with a light pressure turbo. The strongest is the manual Aero, the only model with the TD04 full pressure turbo. The manual Aero is pretty much in a class by itself.
The automatic Aero, CSE and CS all have the T25 turbo. The CS can be converted to a full pressure turbo easily. The Aero and CSE are more likely to have been driven hard than the CS.
