You should be able to get the OEM valeo for the same price, but there shouldn't be any issues with the nissens. The new replacement radiators are universal, so they all have a threaded socket for the early thermo-switch. The plug that comes with them is the weak point, and you should spend the $5 to buy a thermo-switch to plug it with (many many euro's of the era use the same thread, obviously temperature settings are irrelevant since you're using it as a plug).
