Sounds like the junkyard guy is a real ass or doesn't know how to run his business if he can't make money parting out that car. Maybe someone should tell him about the internet. Might rock his world a bit. The '98 CSE wheels are always worth a bit alone, plus the $200+ in scrap steel even after it's parted out.

I'm sure you'll get something on CL since any running, smogged car is worth something out there, but I agree with the other on posting an ad here. A '98 is special enough I bet you'll get a taker that won't have an issue fixing the AC and heating problems, and it will keep another 9k on the road.
