That sounds ambitious!! Especially the ABS transplant. On mine I am leaning towards going sans ABS.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction on the AC wiring modification. I was mistakenly on the wrong big connector underneath the plastic aquarium cover, when I moved over to the loom directly connected to the engine ECU, I found the correct wires and Presto, via ACC buttons AUTO and ECON, I was able to toggle the compressor on/off.
My project is straightforward, the body is great for a NE car, I had the only rust on the shock towers welded up. The previous owner had trans rebuilt (via Ericson in CT, I believe)with new clutch parts, and had head reworked and gasket replaced. All is dry underneath (now the car has no rust protection!!) With help from people on this board like you Simon, we can keep good examples of the Aeros on the road to 300k and beyond.
