OBD II bluetooth iOS scanner? Posted by skibumm100 [Email] (#3255) [Profile/Gallery] (more from skibumm100) on Sat, 29 Jul 2017 10:44:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Does anyone on the board use a bluetooth OBD II scanner with their iPhone? Last time I was home I grabbed my laptop and checked to make sure I had my OBD II scanner cable in the bag before I threw it in the car. Turns out it was my old cable for software I don't have anymore. I have (2) USB OBD II cables at home but I didn't grab the right one. Instead I went to AutoZone and had them read the codes. They told me they weren't allowed to clear the codes - company policy. I had a problem with my car on the way to Detroit and it threw two codes (P0300 and P0340). I put new plugs gapped to 0.035 and tossed in my spare DI. I still have the CEL light on. I thought it would be handy to have a dongle for a smartphone OBD II scanner in the car. We'll see if the plugs and DI fix the problem.
