The plastic tip of the dipstick finds it way to the transmission filter where it causes no harm.
For now all you need is a new dipstick. The next time you drain and change the filter you'll probably find the plastic tip.
Be careful inserting the dipstick. There's a ridge inside the tube where the plastic tip can hang. Insert gently until the tip is past the ridge. Maybe the ridge is not a problem when the dipstick is new, but the tip gets brittle with age and all the thermal cycles.
The old dipstick serves as a nice short flexible snake for things like condensate drains around the house.
