I had the same failure on my green 97 CSE. The banjo fitting on the fuel filter developed a hole from corrosion. It was spraying a mist of fuel out of it anytime the fuel pump was running. I only noticed it when I saw puddles of fuel on the ground after it was parked for a few minutes. I bought a new banjo barbed fitting off the auction site that was made for a Volvo. It was a quality piece that some guy makes and sells online. I bought some 6 mm nylon hose and some nylon 6 mm tubing fittings from McMaster-Carr and pieced it back together. Still on the road today and no leaks.
