I assume that this is for your SAAB 9000, but the year makes a big difference.
Does your car have a six-disk CD changer in the hatch area? One of the cables on the back of the single CD player cage connects to a multi-conductor cable (standard on most US 9000s) that goes to the trunk.
Work on the AC blower should all be located under the hood, which has nothing to do with the audio system except for the A/C duct that is immediately behind the radio and CD player. A protrusion on this duct cut into the cable with the yellow plug connecting the radio and CD player/equalizer on my 1994 car; bought a used radio cage with cable, fixed it. Access to the plugs behind the radio and CD player is possible by removing the electronics units completely, then partially pulling the receptacle cages out of their mounting. Can access just the top by removing the ACC unit, but depending on where the radios are vs. the ashtray, this may not be useful.
