Hi Steven,
I recently bought a 94 Aero. What is odd is the front face and back seem to be different colors. The front is black, the back a kind of charcoal gray. I can't tell if the stitching has faded from red(ish) to a kind of purple but that is how it seems to me. I have not found any codes or similar but am interested in this too.
