What else to do with a clutch job? Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Thu, 21 Mar 2019 16:06:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My wife has been driving my 1994 Aero this winter; got it back this week and the clutch release bearing is howling when depressed - not going to comment on how that happened....
So, I need a clutch job. I'm planning on buying a clutch, pressure plate, clutch release bearing, pilot bearing, rebuild kit for the slave cylinder with OEM parts (O-rings), shift coupler, selector rod seal, rubber transmission mount. Maybe a rear main engine seal.
Is there anything else that can be replaced as part of the job as long as the transmission is out? Thinking perhaps there are some output seals, bearings, etc. that can be accessed without disassembling the trans?
