94 Aero -- more rear caliper questions

Hello all,
Long time no post! I am adding to the recent conversation about rear calipers, as my 94 Aero (rust-n-dust edition -- who needs a garage!!) has one seized rear caliper.
A few years ago I attempted a pad and rotor job, but had to stop and put it all back together because I couldn't retract the left rear caliper. Familiar story -- seized E-brake adjuster/retractor mechanism.
This car get driven rarely, so we got a few years out of it before the metal-on-metal noises began.
Now it's basically a dilemma of finding new calipers and investing in the brakes, or letting the car go to Viking heaven.
I've found that AutoPart International says they can get the calipers. No doubt these are rebuilds. So my question is, what are the usual failure modes with these rebuilds? I've read about broken-off bleeder valves, non-functioning e-brake mechanisms, but are there other issues like eventual leaks or generally short lifespans? It's a question of whether I want to invest the money and effort, if the units are likely to fail sooner than later.
