Maybe talk to scanwest out in Seattle.I took my automatic out and put a five speed in I had them rebuild it. I have a lift in my shop it's a little bit easier to do with a lift but the best way is just to pull the motor out.if you have all the tools, in about 45 minutes you can usually have the motor pulled.of course I've done it probably five or six times over the last three years so I've gotten pretty good.the unfortunate thing about the automatic like everybody else is saying nobody is fixing them parts are hard to find, it would really suck to do all that work put a used transmission back in and then in six months it breaks or even doesn't work at all. Personally myself I would try and find a 5-speed it can at least be rebuilt still by scanwest in Seattle. Just my opinion. I still have that automatic here. It worked fine when I took it out.but it had a hundred and twenty-five thousand miles on it so I don't know how long it has left on it either. The 5-speed swap was not that difficult I just found a 5-speed parts car. Good luck .
