1. The radio short is a strange one. When in park the radio and CD player and amp works just fine. When you press the park release switch for the autobox the radio shorts out, antenna rolls down etc. It's basically turning off like you turned the radio head off. Anybody have any thoughts?
2. Power Steering is groaning. Had some fluid pulled from it by a local garage a few years ago and I'm assuming they added regular PS fluid instead of the synthetic that Saab switched to in mid 97. Also noises from that area when starting and generally disappeared with any increase in revs. Fortunately have a 97 parts car. But that PS pump has 187K. Was thinking about trying a flushed first before trying a transplant from the 97. But then wonder if the ProParts new assembly would be the better route. I sorta remember Maval was/is a quality rebuilder of PS components. The Maval part comes San pulley where the ProParts new is pulley included.
Any thoughts on the issue and parts. Thanks.
Jeff
