I want to start with a public "thank you" to Jeff Osborne for his help. I wasn't able to find his "how to" instructions on wiring an earlier cruise control module to replace the failure-prone "92-94" unit anywhere, everything I found was a dead link.

Grasping at straws, I emailed him through the forum. Turns out he's driving a 9-5 these days, so isn't active on the 9000 section. He was willing to dig through his archives and located the PDF he made "in the day" for this upgrade & send it to me. He also had a known good early module he was willing to part with for what I considered a very reasonable price.

Long story longer, by following his excellent directions I was able to create the needed adaptor plug which allowed me to utilize the earlier CC module.

I gotta say, having working cruise control is nice.
