I have not heard that there is a resistor in the path attached to the green wire/battery warning light. That said BE SURE to obtain the correct wattage for that bulb if you are going to replace it, which may or may not be different than the other warning lights (different on one of my other cars). The bulb is not a frequently replaced item, as you aren't going to drive very far if it's constantly illuminated to the point where it burns out.
