Hi, the information you seek can be found in the electrical wiring diagram. You can download a copy from the Manuals section of this website (saabnet). The 3 wires that go to the throttle position sensor (203) and their respective wire color and pin locations are as follows: green/red (1), black/white (2), gray (3). As for sensor compatibility, the 97 uses a different connector than earlier years which used gold plated contacts. 97 uses a connector with an improved design, but no gold plated contacts. The wiring is the same, however.
