The TRW ball joints are made in Malaysia. (I guess it was too much to hope that they'd be of North American or European manufacture.) They came with new nuts and bolts but not the big E-clip, though the one I took off looks fine.

As far as I can tell the part looks OK and construction is similar to the one that was removed, which has lasted at least the 12 years I've owned the car. So I'll try the TRW part and see how it works out.
