You've provided the most concise & well described info here - this is VERY APPRECIATED.

They seriously went over the top disabling these cars with their alarms.

Take all that & then add the glass breakage nonsense - it is no wonder after 26 years the thing would go totally nutz.

As soon as weather permits I'll give this a whirl & will post back about it here.
(Our forecast is saying we're headed for a week of heavy rains.)
