I had a similarly burnt out fuse socket for the 30A low speed radiator fan fuse. Apparently the damage was caused by a corroded socket, because the fuse was still intact but it's housing was quite melted from a lot of current running through a high resistance at the interface between fuse and socket. I spliced in one of those stand-alone sealed fuse holders by drilling holes where the fuse used to be and running wires through the holes, then splicing the ends of the fuse holder pigtails onto the correct wires. There was plenty of space inside the fan and headlight relay/fuse box to accommodate this addition.
