Hi,
First of all: there's only one way to know and that's too hook up a good graded boost gauge. The factory boost gauge is relative at best... It will give you some indication of YOUR car's performance if you know where it points at given boost levels.
I thought mine gave correct boost as it boosted to end of yellow and sometimes into broken red for a few seconds. Measurement with a graded gauge (thanks to Mathias) showed that that boost level corresponded to base boost... My max boost 1,08 bar on the graded gauge is at the end of solid red, i.e near black.
So what you want to do is:
1) Hook up a graded gauge
2) Check plugs and replace if any doubt, gap plugs to 1.0 mm
3) Borrow a BPC that you know works
4) Check vacuum hoses for suspected leaks.
I too considered my Aero fairly quick even at base boost. It will probably pump out 170 hp anyway, but now with a new BPC (which turned out to be my problem) I have a new car. Absolutely wicked...
Good luck!
