For some time, now, I've been battling a leaking sunroof on my '87 9ks. I've successfully eliminated clogged drains as the culprit. All 4 drains readily drain water from a garden hose applied to the outside of the sunroof tracks. (I have, however, had them blown out w/compressed air anyway, but w/no improvement). Accordingy, I have eliminated the front drains (which only drain from the outside of the sunroof tracks) altogether. They drain just as they are designed. I've narrowed it down to the rear drains being unable to adequately drain from the center of the sunroof pan, i.e. from between the sunroof tracks. Simply put, the rear drains do not drain quickly enough to prevent water from accumulating in the pan and then spilling over the leading edge rear of the sunroof opening. I suppose it could be the sunroof weather seal allowing more water to enter than the rear drains will carry. However, I just replaced that seal last year. My latest theory is that something is obstructing the water from between the sunroof tracks from reaching the drains located on the outside of the tracks, causing it to accumulate until it is deep enough to spill over from the rear edge of the sunroof into the cabin. Does anybody know how the accumulated water from the center of the pan is supposed to make it past the sunroof tracks into the drains, which are on the outside? It is very difficult to see well enough to figure out how that part of the system is supposed to work. I suspect that whatever is causing this problem may have occurred when the headliner was replaced last summer during the drought. Now that we're back to normal, it has become painfully evident. TIA
