MAP sensors, mass air flow sensor, need some understanding Posted by adam [Email] (#344) [Profile/Gallery] (more from adam) on Fri, 13 Oct 2000 18:19:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm trying to figure out what kind of manual boost controller to go with there appear to be two different types out there.
'93 9k turbo. I don't quite understand what controls my fuel flow. What control the fuel cut off vs. the fuel mixture.
One of the boost controllers is the bleeder type that attaches to the MAP sensor and a second to the wastegate tubing and bleeds air out until a present level is reached. the ones swedish dynamics sells
The other one connects directly between the turbo charging hose and the wastegate and removes the BPC altogether. Dean on the other board mentioned hooking it upstream of the throttle butterfly valve because "By feeding throttle body pressure to the HBC, the pressure drop across the intercooler and plumbing will be compensated for. IE regulation occurs at the throttle body, not the compressor." http://hallmanboostcontroller.com/
I'm definately out of league at the moment does his reasoning make sense for the 9k. Can somebody explain the difference in raising boost between these two methods.
