What sort of test did the dealer do to determine that the
ECM (electronic control module)was at fault? It could,
possibly, just be a bad power connection. There is a 3
wire connector under the seat with two black and one red
wire. It may only have two wires, a red and black. I
think it was only the Aero seats that had the 3 wires.
Anyway, I would check that connector first. Could be
that constant moving back and forth of the seat may have
caused the connector to loosen and break the connection.
The module that controls the seats can be found at a salvage
yard. It's not big, like the module that controls your DI or
Jetronic, or TCS. I'm sure you could find one for under
$30, if that's what's wrong.
