Oil level sensor?

I have an oil leaking from a device in the oil pan just below the oil filter on my 91 9000 turbo. I'm planning to take it off to put on sealer and check any gasket/o-ring. Is this device the oil level sensor? It's held on by three small bolts and has a two wire plug in it. I'd like to know the right name in case I have to get parts.
