You would need the opinion of owners who had both the turbo and non-turbo. Possibly none of the persons replying to your question had this experience.
Nor did I. I had non-turbo 99 and 900 up to 2ook mi and had barely a problem. Quite different with my '88T. Watching this post I do believe that the following part might have a higher failure rate if you drive a turbo car aggressively:
head gasket
clutch
transmission
brakes
brakes.
I guess you pay for the fun. (There is no free ride.)
