Minor Aero troubles over weekend

Morning all!
This weekend was my first snowy weekend with my 96 9000 Aero, (manual). I had a couple of issues come up. First my windshield washer fluid light has come on and I filled the tank thinking that would take care of it. Nope it didn't. I get no fluid from jets and light came back on. I haven't noticed any leaks. Any ideas? Next I noticed my highbeams will not stay in the lit position without me actually holding the stalk myself. Lastly, I hit a patch of slick stuff, (wouldn't you know it was right before an intersection I was trying to make a turn at!) so I obviously put on my brakes, I was only doing about 7MPH to begin with but gravity kept pulling my car due to the declining hill I was on. Anyway I noticed the pedal pushing my foot back with very heavy feedback almost forcing me to remove my foot. Is this normal? I assume the 96 has ABS but is that the normal proceedure? It is my first experience driving with ABS and with the slippery conditions here to stay I really need to know. I also plan on making an appointment to have the Blizzaks that came with the car installed ASAP PDQ!!!!!!
Looking forward to all the responses please help!
Regards,
Chris Pilcher
