Dead spots in power on light acceleration.. Trionic rundown.

When accelerating at very light throttle, there are noticable dead spots in the engine response. The plugs are new, gapped (.85) and all look clean. I've checked vacume leaks and can sustain max boost on full throttle. I've noticed this more on 1st and 2nd gears. Can someone give me a rundown on how trionic works and what the APC valve does as far as matching a preset boost curve. Is it just a boost limiter or does it control bost under non-full throttle situations, normal acceleration? I hope this makes sense. There is a slight oil leak on the DI, cylinder 1. I will try to find a known good DI. But this one is only 30k miles old. I got the car with 60k miles and it was dealer serviced with a BPC replacement at 18k miles. The AIC is a little sluggish. Sometimes perfect, sometimes not. I should take it out and clean it soon. Otherwise the car runs great and pulls hard. Sorry for being long, thanks for the help.
