turbos on the early cars with small air impeller by restricting the by pass area as you are now doing. The exhaust side can impart more energy than the air side can pump. This results in an over rev condition and actual intake turbulence. The addition of a larger pipe from the turbo outlet to the face of the throttle body will reduce the pipe friction and reduce the noise but you are on the ragged edge of potential turbo bearing failure when you do because of overreving condition. You are probably exceeding the Garrette spin limits of around 110,000 rpm. It is also your waste gate trying to relieve the boost pressure but the exhaust by pass is so small you are getting a lot of noise from the restricted orifice, again you are in dangerous territory. This is a condition that if one turn is good, then 2 should be better! I would sure hate to see you screw up that beautiful blue TSA. gorgeous car, love the wheels.
