i posted a week ago about the same thing in our 89 9000 cd turbo, 135k miles. i too have noticed this, with my problem being the wire to the temperarure sender having the insulation deteriorate and the bare wires flex to the point of breaking leaving me with a non-working temp. gage. i just spliced on a new piece of wire and connector and wrapped it in electrical tape. i have also wrapped the wire to the solenoid with electrical tape. someone replied to my posting that this was/is a known problem with saabs around this timeframe.
