This is the one thing that Stuart Howe hasn't managed to get right. When I got that car in Nov 00 it was fine, except the check engine light would come on occasionally when changing from petrol to lpg and visa versa (which was understandable as the changeover mixture was unlikely to be perfect). On the way to Howe Engineering it started coming on more frequently. He changed the wave forms in the emulator but without success. After my last visit the check engine light stayed off for some time, but then went back to its old ways. At his own admission Stuart's 'scope isn't brilliant, even though he tried to emulate the injector waveform when running on petrol. He did offer to relay the 'check engine light' out but agreed with me that it was bad engineering practice when I declined.
The check engine light never comes on when running on petrol (having started on petrol). I have bought a new Lambda probe and am going to try that (when it stop's raining). The last one has been in there for three years so I will let you know how I get on. Hopefully it will help the economy as well (which is the main reason for buying the new lambda probe). My thought is that the probe may be breaking down under the higher temperature of the lpg burn (I am probably grasping at straws!)
