Thank you Ari for your input . This afternoon I disconnected the large hose from the Charcoal cannister , plugged it & the fitting it was attached to and clamped the smaller hose to close it off . Again no change .
I tried squeezing and wiggling all the intake plumbing while idling to produce a leak to no avail . In fact I can almost squeeze the rubber hose near the throttle completely flat without the engine missing a beat ! Could there be a leak in the intercooler ? What if I bypassed the intercooler with a piece of flexible clothes dryer hose ?
I am still suspicious of the Hooter Valve . What if I installed it backwards so the turbo pressure is not acting directly against the spring loaded valve but from the side (if you know what I mean) ?
How about removing the compressor hose feeding the intercooler and pressurizing it with my vacuum cleaner (on reverse) or even a compressor ? Perhaps I should block the hose at the throttle body while trying this?
