from the factory. The exhaust note would be no louder than stock, and there would be minimal turbo lag. There would be lower exhaust temps, more consistant boost (especially in the mountains), better fuel economy.
I don't hear any boombing, just a few random buzzes from the heat shield on the front muffler. The pipe doesn't fit perfectly,,,could use a little extra bend where the mount is. As it is now, it puts the muffler off centre. I'll have to cut back the heat shield or get a high flow cat that is oval. The spintech muffler is square, so it is a bit awkward up front.
I also had to crank back the base boost because of massive overshoot. I remember passing a truck in fourth gear fron 4000RPM. The boost peaked at 25psi,,,a little much for those revs. This was the first time I actually felt a big cut in power as the APC cut the boost back to 18psi.
About the increase in revs, what you said may be true, but I did a test. I accelerated, then let go of the gas, THEN put in the clutch. The RPMs paused for a moment, then decreased...now that's wierd eh? Anyway, it maqked the shifting flawless at high RPM, which is a definate change for the better.
