Turned on a/c, engine stopped, radio code came on. Posted by jmike [Email] (#923) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jmike) on Mon, 16 Jul 2001 11:17:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was waiting at light when it happened. Car started again no problem, but the radio code was on so it wasn't just a stall.
Two weeks ago I was having problems with the radio shutting off when a/c was on in heavy traffic, but engine never died. Battery finally drained, and when I took the cover off positive terminal, it was corroded pretty bad. Cleaned terminal, recharged battery (it wouldn't even start with jump) and everything seemed fine. Volts stayed right around 13.3, so I decided it was just corroded terminal. Now this. If it's the alternator or regulator I wouldn't have had voltage readings this high, would I? The battery checked out okay. What's going on here?
