I just installed the Basslink in my 91 about 2 weeks ago. The rubber grommet is a bit of a pain to get to but you really have no other choice. I removed the battery and battery box. From there you can see the large rubber grommet just below the brake or clutch master cylinder on the firewall. There are some other hoses or lines going thru it , so be carefull, but I used a power drill to drill a hole thru it..(its pretty thick so a knife wouldnt work). Be carefull not to drill into anything else. On the inside the grommet is behind the top of the clutch pedal arm..pretty difficult to work under there but I managed. From there you can run the wire (use heavy gauge #10 or #12 wire) under the plastic door sills, under the rear seats and on to the trunk area. I bolted the basslink in the area near the power antenna ,upright position firing across the trunk, using only two of the four possible bolts thru the feet into the wooden spare tire cover with some easily removeable wing nuts in case I need to take it out to get to the spare. Im sure wiring the inputs off of the rear speakers is acceptable but maybe not the best way to do it..thats an Arron Gilbert question..he posts on this board frequently and is very knowledgable when it comes to stereos. My head unit has the RCA outputs so thats the route I took. If youve never heard the Basslink, you will be surprised. I was...really incredible! However I feel ive lost some midrange bass to the deep thump of the sub.If I can help with other questions just ask...good luck.
