That's great. I did mine a couple of weeks ago with just the car jack plus one bottle jack and a set of axle stands. Before I actually received the mounts, I took stuff apart and cleaned the area around the mounts because it was _caked_ in dirt and grease.
I also had the same problem with trying to lift the engine high enough, since I didn't figure out how to drop the sub-frame. I think it would have made the front mount replacement a lot easier.
If anyone is considering using jacks instead of a lift, the only thing I would suggest that I haven't seen before is to have _two_ jacks under the engine. I found that with just one, the engine would tilt forward or backwards depending on where you jacked it. With two, you could control the engine easier and lift it and tilt it forward to access the rear mount, or tilt it backwards to access the front mount. If you don't lift the engine a bit before tilting, it can easily lean against the radiator or something.
