I replaced the dump valve when I bought my car as I understand it was going to be inevitable that it was going to fail. I couldn't detect any difference in performance, spool-up or max boost after it was installed.
As respects the ECU, I still have the stock one although I've spent the last few weeks checking-out the various websites as I was interested in upgrading it. Specifically, I looked into Speedparts, Swedish Dynamics, BSR, Abbott and Maptun. After some input from Karl in Sweden, I spoke w/Johnny at Maptun who advised they had a Stage III ECU which would take into account my current mods - 3" JT downpipe, 3" cat and K&N coner filter. The quoted cost at current exchange rates was $600 plus an additional $200 deposit (refundable after your old ECU is received) and an additional $20 for shipping. The quoted power ratings are 280HP and 353TQ!!!
Although intrigued, I've put the purchase on hold as I need to save for an engagement ring :-)
