For the last two weeks I have been trying to get my 90 9000t to run again.
It ran fine and then it didn't. No gradual loss of performance, just OK and then not. I so far have put in a DI, Plugs, Temperature sensor, Fuel filter,O2 sensor and an ignition switch. Not to mention hours of checking and tinkering. This stinker still won't run for longer than a few minutes before stumbling and stalling. I have fuel, and spark but I seriously suspect the Air Mass Meter, 'Called a salvage yard in the area and they were actually rather rude as soon as I mentioned Saab. In fact they hung up on me.
I suppose it's time to drag it to the Saab garage, but I would appreciate any info someone may have if they have ever had these symptoms.
Also if anyone has had to buy the Control box for a 2.4 injection system, what is the going price? same for the DI/APC one under the front seat?
I've already been told by the parts man that the Air Mass meter is "Big bucks". CW
