My guess is that at minimum the electronics are shot and that the floorboards will rust out (the carpet was still soaking wet after four days of windows rolled down and in sun).
Since I tried to start the car (I tried to start it late at night when I had no idea there was even a flood much less car problems) I wonder if water was able to get into the fuel system or the engine cylinders. Liquid does not compress and therefore, am worried if I have a possibility of seized engine or otherwise compromised parts.
Will advise on State Farm's position by Wednesday. If they do not total the car and they agree to fix it, I will get their list and share their thoughts with you all for comments. I expect they will total it. I have been surprised before though. :(
Any ideas on value?
