What and where is this "org. headlight module"?

I think I have (or had?) a close cousin...the after parking the normally garaged car in the outdoor airport parking lot for a week the LEFT high beam didn't work but then a few minutes later it did but then a few days later it didn't again but then shortly after it did and still does up to now so far problem.

Hmmm, what was that all about. (Everytime the left high beam did not work, the red warning indicators on the dash lit up, so I guess that is good.)

All I have done so far is to untwist the 9005 (I believe) bulb assembly from its socket just to have a look at it (without unplugging it) then twist it back in; and to unplug the square orange "lamp control" relay just to have a look at it (without uncovering it) and then plug it back in.

Past posts seem to have implicated failing soldered joints in the orange relay. But I notice that there is a longer rectangular red "head light" relay beside the orange relay, and I wonder what the difference in function is of these two similarly named relays, and why it was the orange not the red relay that was implicated in past posts.
