wrench or a high quality insert (plug socket) I believe it is 8mm. fro a breaker bar. You may wish to also get a spare plug- just in case. These plugs can be really stuck if not removed freequently. Rinstall the plugs with some anti seize, don't tighten too tight and change several times which will help flush out the sludge and chips. Where you are,I would use 10W30 oil. Saab recommends torque at 40-60 Nm,30-44 ft pounds. This is pretty harsh. I torque all that I service 22 ft lbs with antiseize and that is plenty tight!
