I've been traveling (Alaska, Florida and Delaware); lurking on the 900, 99, and Sonett boards; working on intercooling the '84 900 8-valve Turbo; and remodeling my house (including taking out three walls, replacing windows, installing two skylights and putting in a new kitchen!!!!)

I don't know how Saab planned it, but I adjusted the idle in LHM by tightening the cable - I don't know how to describe it any better - the cable comes out of a black plastic threaded sleeve and the six-sided elongated plastic nut can be tightened.

I got the TCS manual from the prior owner - but it's a dealer sold item.

Yes, it was a faulty Pedal Pot.

Why did it stall in LHM? - there's not much discussion on this point but I think the idle in LHM is controlled by the cable. I think we'd need a Tech to better explain it.

Utan Tak is swedish for "without top" and the name of my Saab Convertible.
