I just did mine on my 94 CDE. Not only do you have to take the fenderwall out but you must take the power steering pump off also. The alternator will not come out with out taking the bracket behind the power steering pump off.The last bolt for this is behind the pump! Of course I rounded one of the bolts to the pump off. That was just a wonderful feeling. With alittle screwing around I was able to turn the alternator around enough to unplug it. After that it was very easy to spin it around and replace the brush pack. $46 from Europarts.com. A very good place. Be sure that you put the plastic cap back on before you remount the alternator. I didn't and therefore had to take it back off. After I did that- 13.1 volts. Good Luck and do not be afraid to ask for help.
