My K&N air filter is installed where the old air box was with a metal "L" bracket bolted to the bodywork down there somewhere . There has been some discussion on this BB about whether this is a good place to locate the filter as it is not in the direct airflow . You may want to leave the plastic hose from the original airbox that goes into the fenderwell . In my case the D shaped rubber cooling baffle under the spoiler left side was removed and I am considering installing a sort of a scoop in its place .
If your state or province or country has mandatory checks of auto anti polution gear , you may want to change the charcoal cannister if it has never been replaced .Saab recommend its replacement every 60,000 mi. or 80,000 Km.. It will not improve your 0 to 60 times as it only serves to trap gasoline fumes from the engine manifold etc. and route them back into the engine when it is running .
The hardest part about cleaning the car is emptying the ashtrays . When you turn the car over to shake them out the ashes ,gum , apple cores , etc. go all over the headliner and then down into the upolstry and carpet when you turn it back rightside up . I suppose if you have a sunroof (I don't) with practice you should be able to get all the crap to fall through.
Good luck .
