At the very least someone will have to reset the fault code that is being stored in the SRS module. Disconnecting the battery won't clear it from memory. My light stayed on after I was screwing around with the relays and powered the car on when the SRS relay was out- a fault code was generated so the SRS module needed to be reset to clear the code. You need a special (expensive) computer to do this and often indies won't have them, so it might be a trip to the dealer. My local dealer was kind enough to do this for free.
