Thanks Hans, I needed that. I'm afraif that the funny symbols are the extent of my swearing ability since I had kids, and I still can't do that kind of swearing right! And I know it could be worse, and I know that I have a known set of problems instead of an unknown set, and I know that the car had a nice cushy dealer-serviced life (boy, you should have heard the dealer service advisor praise the prior owner's service habits! "He'd just drop it off and say 'fix whatever's wrong'" - that's why I'm so amazed that they put an exhaust on the car without changing an obviously shot motor mount) but it's been about once a week with these things. I guess I'm really just peeved that I can't fix this particular problem - it's probably been over 10 years since I had to have anyone else work on one of my cars. Of course, my last car was a bulletproof Miata (yeah, redundant) - I *tried* to abuse it and break it so I could work on it, but nooooo, it just kept begging for more like a big, dumb puppy wagging its tail that likes to play rough. :)
