Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! If not, I'm sorry!

TSN has been fun to read and write on lately! I just rolled over 100,000 and will look forward to getting a sticker or two. This may be a dumb question but is there a way to be an actual member of the TSN or is it just the email? Just curious. Thanks Scott!!

I did my blower motor/heater core job along with all new hoses, t-stat, coolant, etc. a few weeks ago and would like to say thanks to Todd at eEuroparts.com for wonderful service, great prices and super fast delivery.
Quasi deserves much praise for the quality write-up on the procedure. I was lucky enough to be able to contribute a couple of hints that Quasi posted on his site! That was pretty cool.

While I had things torn apart, I noticed my +Positive Cable, going to starter, was missing several inches of its insulation wrap (very corroded) and was starting to unwind. When I was at the local parts store I found a matching one for like $5. I was amazed at the difference in cranking speed and gained voltage. The display used to vary between 13.2-13.6 and now it is 13.8-14.2, same battery. This is something that could easily get overlooked and cause starting problems especially in the winter.
I also cleaned every elec. connection I could find and put a dab of dielectric grease on each.
The throttle body looks brand new inside now and so does the AIC/IAC.
My charcoal can was just a barnacle in my wheel well since both hoses were disconnected. Can you say vacuum leak?
Also replaced my fuel filter.
Glad that's done!!!
I'm happy to report my boost needle goes a good 1/3 into the red now!

My wife and I made a 750 mile round trip on Fri-Sun last weekend to attend a baptism.
For part of our route, we took I-90 from La Crosse, WI to Fairmont, MN where the speed limit is 70 mph. I set the cruise at 82 and the car ran perfectly for the 170 miles.
On the way back a guy in an Audi something-or-other passed us and I paced him at about 85-90 for a minute or so, then I dropped off a bit...then he waved at me. I let him go for a while, he was maybe a mile ahead, but since traffic was light I thought I'd try to catch him. It's amazing how much ground can be made up when I could see a couple miles ahead, no cars, more importantly no cops, and accelerate effortlessly up to 115 once or twice and stay above 90! I caught him just before he took an exit about 10 miles later. I waved back and my wife smiled at him and he had a "What the?" look on his face.
I even had extra air in my tires for the occaision.

Anyway, I was in a writing mood and thought I'd share.
Take care!
